    Olipower Solar + Storage + Diesel Hybrid Energy Solution for Southeast Asian Industrial Facilities

    In some industrial regions across Southeast Asia, unstable grid conditions and frequent power interruptions have become major challenges affecting continuous manufacturing operations. To maintain production reliability, many enterprises have traditionally relied on diesel generators as backup power sources.     To address the challenges of weak-grid environments in Southeast Asia, Olipower has partnered with a local industrial enterprise to deploy a 1MW/2.088MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) integrated with a 1MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system. The project has now entered commercial operation.


    The solution adopts an advanced Solar + Storage + Diesel Hybrid Microgrid Architecture, combining renewable energy generation, intelligent energy storage, and backup power generation to ensure stable and reliable electricity supply.


    During daytime operation:

    • Solar PV power is prioritized to support factory electricity demand.

    • Excess solar energy is stored in the battery energy storage system.

    • During nighttime operation or periods of insufficient solar generation, the energy storage system automatically supplies additional power.

    • Under extreme conditions, diesel generators provide the final layer of backup protection.

     

    Through intelligent energy coordination, the project delivers three significant benefits:
